A worthwhile addition to the pecorino stable. Pecorino is light-skinned grape used in Italy's eastern coastal regions. This classic Pecorino is dry with some minerality straw-yellow in color and has notes of floral flowers 💐, acacia and jasmine and a touch of liquorice Pair with Pecorino cheese 🧀 and walnut bread Steamed white fish 🐟 with ginger Chicken 🐓 thighs with roasted red pepper and onion. Ch.Caillou 2005 Sauternes Rated 90 points @james.suckling lots of 🍋 peel, vanilla pods , 🍯,fennel and rhubarb on the nose. A little knowledge goes a long way ! After visiting @champagne_billecart_salmon 🍾 🥂 earlier this year I learnt that @fortnumandmason now stock the champagne house’s rose for £45. A bargain if you consider its available elsewhere for between £55-70 Pale pink colour with delicate slow rising bubbles give it a persistent mousse. Aroma of red and citrus fruits. What a great Pinot Noir Rose from @camelvalleysam lots and lots of strawberries 🍓 🍓 🍓 with some noticeable raspberries. Lemon 🍋 zest on the finish. That coupled with the crisp fresh and delicate finish - all in one bottle. Makes this producer arguably the best sparkling Uk 🇬🇧 producer The rose just adds to the fabulous job these guys are doing. Every thing that @marchesiantinori does is fabulous. This is no exception. Made from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Conte della Vipera is a homage to the original owners of the castle and its label shows an illustration of San Giovanni’s chapel (Saint John) in Tuscany- located within the estate. The 2017 shows a straw yellow color with notes of citric 🍋 fruit notes, grapefruit , aromatic herbs 🌿 and anisette (sambuca) 💐. Good minerality( like licking pebbles as a boy 😁 ). @wine_advocate 88 points ( but don’t let that put you off ). Try this and enjoy. One of the many producers on the slopes of mount etna 🌋 made from 80% Medellin mascalese and 20% berkelium cappuccio. Ruby red in colour with intense fruit with some mineral notes and soft velvety tannins. Altitude of 680-750 m Serve at 18-20 degrees C Amazing that the vines flourish with what is at times a fairly inhospitable place Available at @leaandsandeman for £35. Tasted this last night - still a uncommitted fan of Pinot Gris - shows candied fruit aromas with a slightly slightly smoked characteristic. Rich in the mouth with a fresh and clean character. Keep till 2023. goes well with a whole meal, from appetizer to cheese 🧀 and will be ideal with fish 🐟 in sauce, white meats 🐓 🦃 , exotic dishes, spicy, game birds pheasant and quail go well. When a less than impressive takeaway turns up with @deliveroo and you expect the same with the wine. Pleasantly surprised by @nicolabergaglio lots of clean crispness but a fabulous creaminess or that “you know what “ I love it. Clos de Bouard is from Coralie de Bouard who’s father is Hubert de Bouard.( @chateauangelus ) 2016 is the debut vintage for the chateau Known as previously Tour Musset. The wine is deep in colour with purple hues . Aromas of flowers 💐 , black raspberries , plum and liquorice. On the palate, the soft and silky style offers sweet, ripe, berries with freshness together with a touch of dark 🍫 on the finish . For a Burgundian Chardonnay that’s not big oily and full of butter why not try this cheeky little white. Arguably it’s not under £10/$10 but this could be a once a month purchase Its steely and full of minerality ( if you were a boy at school 🏫 think liking the knife at lunch 🥙: if your a girl at school 🏫 think of the smell of a rainfall on warm tarmac after a hot day !!) touches of 🍏 blossom , limes , fragrant 🍐 and grapefruit.
